Sinbad (teenager) and Alibaba comparison.

As soon as I saw Sinbad like this I immediately thought of Alibaba. The mangaka must really love earrings, and hip hand resting on the sea.

In story-telling mediums these things are rarely done ‘because the author/artist likes them’ though that could be part of it. Parallels like this are used VERY frequently as a sign of foreshadowing or connecting the dots.

Let’s look at this: both Sinbad and Alibaba grew up in impoverished families, is the slums, and lost their parents at fairly young ages. Both had setups to “claim a kingdom” in one way or another. 

thus these similarities could actually be setting us up for alibaba to become another Sinbad figure, depending on how deep this can go.

With Alibaba as a King Candidate, who knows?
